A pilot deviation simply means a pilot did something that didn’t comply with an ATC instruction, clearance, or regulation. Most deviations are unintentional and occur during normal operations — often to competent, experienced pilots.
Our goal is to understand what deviations look like in real life, why they happen, and how we prevent them through better planning, communication, and decision-making.
Today’s session focuses on pilot deviations — not as a disciplinary topic, but as a safety learning opportunity.

Come to our Monthly Meetings
Every 1st Thursday of the Month at 7:00pm
Join us for our meetings on the first Thursday of the month in the pilot lounge at the Brackett Airport Terminal. Our meetings generally start at 7:00pm and end around 8:30 or 9pm, depending on the presentation. Meet other pilots and aviation enthusiasts while learning something new. If you have an interest in aviation or learning to fly, attending our meetings is a great place to get started. All are welcome!
